
ISPhOA 2014 was the first lauched International Seminar on Photonics, Optics, and its Applications, that was held on October 14-15 2014 at the Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel, Sanur Bali.
ISPhOA is biennial series of scientific events, that was promoted and organized by the Photonics Engineering Laboratory at the Department of Engineering Phycics, the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). These seminar series is dedicated to provide a Venue for strengthening the network among academicians, researchers, and companies, that are actively involved in photonics & optics fields.
Main theme of the seminar was “Optics and Photonics for better human society”

Invited Speakers
Several prominent international reputated invited speakers have delivered their plenary / keynote lectures during that event. They were:

Prof Suganda Jutamulia
Dr. Suganda Jutamulia is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at University of Northern California, and a part-time instructor at San Jose State University. He is a Fellow of Optical Society of America (OSA) and The International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE).

Assoc. Prof Murukeshan Vadakke Matham
Dr. Murukeshan Vadakke is an Associate Professor a the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He was currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Optical & Laser Engineering (COLE), NTU

Prof. Shigehisa Arai
Prof Arai was the Head of Arai-Nishiyama Laboratory and the Quantum Nanoelectronics Research Center, Tokyo Institute of Technology

Prof. Christian Koos
Prof Koos was the Director of the Institut for Photonics and Quantum Electronics (IPQ) and Institute of Microstructure Technology (IMT) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Prof Harith bin Ahmad
Prof Harith was the Director of Photonics Research Centre (PRC), University of Malaya
